The meeting is from 9 until Noon in the annex to First Baptist Church, Gilmer. It is located at 304 Buffalo Street, on the southeast corner of Buffalo and Trinity.

Dulcimer Friends in Texarkana
From Frances Scurlock:
"Dulcimer Friends" meet the third Saturday from 9 -12 at Westside Church of Christ, 524 Sowell Lane in Texarkana. There is a beginner group taught by Diana Quinn from 9 to 10. We learn new tunes or work on recently introduced tunes from 10 to 11. Ann Craig and Frances Scurlock help with this. At 11:00 we jam and each person is asked to choose a song. It may be one you like to play or one you would like to hear.

Besides mountain dulcimer players we have guitar, fiddle, bass, mandolin and sometimes banjo. We welcome anyone who wants to play, or learn to play. Many of our group are new players. Our goal for 2011 is to work up a play list which we can play at nursing homes and retirement centers. Most of all, we want everyone to enjoy playing music together. For more information contact Frances Scurlock at 903-824-5119.
